In my continuing quest to get in as many doctor's appointments as possible before my student health insurance plan expires, I'm off for a mammogram today. "No deodorant," they told me -- on a day when it's supposed to reach almost 90 degrees F, and the humidity is at about 65%.
So maybe it could be worse? Instead of getting a law degree and only the dimmest of job prospects on the horizon, I could have become a mammography technician in an area of the country with lousy hot and humid weather a good third of the year.
