Monday art house: solid rocket booster separation video

Note how the 2 boosters rotate in tandem during the fall, until they hit too much atmosphere. And people say we need to adopt the metric system. Bah!

Man, law school has totally eaten my brain. For about 20 seconds, I was stumped, because I only saw one booster in the shot. *sigh*

I should have written a coherent explanation of what the video actually shows. As you figured out, it's video from a camera affixed to one of the 2 solid rocket boosters on a space shuttle (I think it's Endeavour).

The audio is what really freaks me out, I think: creaking from the metal expanding and contracting, and some wind noise, but otherwise it's so quiet.

Yeah, I was intrigued by that too.
