Oh, if only all of us could have been designed so intelligently: paleontologists have figured out that a weird-ass amphibian fossil they found demonstrates that the creature ate by
lifting up the top of its head. This is opposed to how we eat, which is by putting food and drink in the same opening that we breathe through.

The animal, though described by scientists as one of the ugliest ever discovered, bears the scientific name
Gerrothorax pulcherrimus, Latin for
most beautiful of the
wicker-chested amphibians. It lived about
210 million years ago.
